Another successful gala affair was held at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City on October 14th, 2010. ICCUSA President and Co-Founder, Maurice Buckley, along with ICCUSA Co-Founder Sir Michael Smurfit and ICCUSA Chairman Alfred E. Smith, were joined by actor and ASLFL Ambassador Matt McCoy and Fine Gael Party Leader and the evening's keynote speaker, Enda Kenny. Honorees were George W. Buckley, Chairman & CEO of 3M, and Brian O'Dwyer, Esq., Founding Member of the ICCUSA. |
In addition to highlighting the strong trans-Atlantic bonds between the USA and the island of Ireland, we were pleased to share the ongoing success of The ICCUSA Foundation's Albert Schweitzer Leadership for Life program's youth leadership conference. The ASLFL International Youth leadership Conference, co-hosted by Foroige in Dublin during July, 2010, welcomed more than 150 youths ages 15-17 from the US, Ireland, England, Nigeria, South Korea and Northern Ireland. These promising youths participated in 5 days of group workshops, lectures and team-building exercises designed to foster leadership skills.
